Is pre-med school necessary?

I am planning on going into the sports medicine/science field. I am considering biomechanics but am also interested in possibly a sports physician. I might also be interested in some kind of degree in nutrition and/or athletic training. So, will i need to go to pre-med school for any of this? I am guessing if i want to be a sports physician i will need to.

There is no such thing as "pre-med school". Pre-med is just a set of classes that you have to take. You can take these classes anywhere though and you take them while you are completing your undergrad degree.

There is no such thing as "pre med school." Undergrads who are planning to go to medical school are "premed." Some universities have a premed track or even a premed major, which includes all the courses you should take to prepare yourself for med school. Most premed students, however, major in something like biology. Although frankly, you can be premed and major in anything at all – I had a friend at university who was premed and majored in history.
