Why do I sweat more doing static weight training than regular weight lifting?

Like doing three sets of plank, lunges or triceps and holding that position for 30 seconds rather than normal weight lifting (doing a certain amount of repetitions). I did this today during my training (holding the same position for 30 seconds three times) and sweat a lot more than when doing the normal weight training, so I was just wondering. Thanks

You’re probably just working out at a higher level of intensity when doing the static poses than you’re used to with regular weights. This doesn’t mean you can’t have the same level of intensity from regular weight lifting, tho’. I’ve come from regular lifting sessions just drenched when it was particularly intense.

You aren’t moving as much, so your sweat doesn’t evaporate as quickly.
